Engineer, entrepreneur, and politician from South Africa and father of American businessman Elon Musk — Erroll Musk attended a KHL regular season game between Ak Bars and Admiral at Tatneft Arena, took part in the Ak Bars Show, and even declared his love for Tatarstan in the Tatar language.

“I’ve loved hockey for about 50 years, so I couldn’t miss the Ak Bars game. It’s such a fast, dynamic sport — really exciting to watch. I really enjoyed my time in Kazan; the atmosphere was fantastic. The arena here is absolutely stunning. The level of play in the KHL is very high too — it’s definitely comparable to NHL games.”

The well-known businessman spent several days in Russia on a working visit. During his trip, he visited Moscow, Suzdal, and Kazan. In Tatarstan’s capital, Erroll Musk toured local IT parks, the city of Innopolis, the Kamal Theatre, and many other attractions. He said he was impressed by what he saw and promised to recommend that his sons, including Elon, visit Russia as well.

During the game, Erroll also took part in the Ak Bars Show, where he tried to guess the meaning and pronunciation of Russian words together with the hosts. Live on air, he once again professed his love for the region — this time in Tatar.

The matchup between Ak Bars and Admiral ended with a victory (5:3) for the Kazan team. In their second head-to-head game on Monday, October 27, Ak Bars won again (3:2 OT). After 20 games, the Kazan club sits second in the KHL’s Eastern Conference with 29 points.

Notably, Ak Bars extended their winning streak to 10 games, tying the club’s all-time record first set in the 2020–2021 season, when the team defeated Jokerit twice, Dynamo Moscow twice, Neftekhimik, Avtomobilist, Metallurg, Spartak, Traktor, and Dynamo Minsk.
