From June 20 to 24, the Tatneft Arena in Kazan will host the 4th Tatneft Asia Cup. This year, participants will compete in the 3×3 format. The tournament is organized by Tatneft company under the auspices of the Association for the Development of Ice Hockey in the Islamic Countries (ADIHIC).
The competition will feature six men’s and four women’s amateur teams representing Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Qatar. Russia will be represented by the amateur team of the Republic of Tatarstan.
More than 100 athletes and hockey federation delegates from ADIHIC member countries are expected to attend the tournament.
Over four days of competition at Tatneft Arena, the participating teams will play a total of 24 games in the 3×3 format. The teams will be divided into two men’s divisions and one women’s division.
The Professional Division will feature teams from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Qatar. The Amateur Division will include teams from Iran, Kyrgyzstan, and the team of the Republic of Tatarstan, representing Russia. The Women’s Division will feature the national teams of Iran and China, along with two teams from Tatarstan.
3×3 hockey is a rapidly growing discipline played on a smaller rink (34 x 18 meters) with reduced roster sizes and a faster, higher-intensity pace of play. Each game consists of three seven-minute periods of stop time.
The opening game of the tournament is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on June 20. All games will be live-streamed on the organization’s VKontakte community page. Tournament updates, standings, and game results will be published on the organization’s Telegram channel and VKontakte.
The official opening ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. on June 20 at Tatneft Arena.

The Association for the Development of ice hockey in the Islamic countries was established in 2023 following the results of the International Economic Forum “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum”. Today, ADIHIC consists of hockey federations from 17 countries in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
In 2023-2026, the Organization conducted field workshops in the UAE, Bahrain, Turkmenistan and Oman. In addition, experts from the Ak Bars Academy organized training camps for young hockey players from Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and the adult men’s and women’s national teams of Iran and Bahrain at the Neftyanik Hockey Training Center (Almetyevsk).
The third international hockey tournament among the Islamic countries, the Tatneft ADIHIC Cup, was held in Kazan in June 2025 for the first time in the 3×3 format, with 8 men’s teams participating. The winners of the divisions were the national team of Tatarstan, representing Russia, and the national team of Kazakhstan.
