The KHL World Games match was held in the capital of Uzbekistan, where Dinamo Minsk and Spartak met. Dynamo led twice, but the red-whites caught up and won in overtime. Uzbekistan became the 16th country to host the KHL regular season game.
Before the game, Tashkent hosted a refereeing seminar for local officials, as well as a master class for young players of the Humo ice hockey academy, conducted by Valery Kamensky, Sergey Fedorov, Ilya Kovalchuk and Sergey Gimaev. The KHL round table “Development of club hockey” was attended by many representatives of the ADIHIC participating countries, for example: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and many others
The Dinamo Minsk –Spartak match was attended by 9,405 spectators, and this is a new record attendance at KHL World Games.
