On June 22, the women’s teams entered the Asia Cup competition at Tatneft Arena. Four teams played in a singles format.

The morning program began with a tight match between China and Iran. The Chinese women’s team managed to snatch a narrow victory, 3-2. A derby between the two Russian teams then took place on the ice. Russia 1 took the initiative and led 3-1, but then their opponents showed their will to win. Russia 2 scored twice more goals during the third period, and Aizilya Kadirova sealed the victory in the final minutes.

Russia 1 was unable to recover from the defeat, immediately losing to Iran in a hard-fought match, 4-7. The evening session began with a crushing victory for China over Russia 2, 12-0. The second Russian team concluded its day with a match against Iran, where the intrigue was minimal – the Iranian women won by five goals (7:2).

The first stage of the Asia Cup concluded with a match between China and Russia 1. China managed to secure its third victory of the day and advance to the semifinals as the top seed. On June 23, the morning session of the games will open with the women’s team semifinals.
