On June 11, the III International Tatneft ADIHIC Cup tournament ended in Kazan. Eight teams were divided into two groups and played six matches each. In Group A, the first place was taken by the team of Kazakhstan, which won five games with one defeat. This is the most productive team of the tournament with 55 goals scored (an average of more than seven per game). The second place went to Kyrgyzstan, which snatched victory from Uzbekistan in the final match of the day (6:5).
Tatarstan won in Group B, collecting the maximum points in six matches. The second line remained with Iran, which suffered two defeats, but demonstrated the most effective defense in the tournament (25 goals conceded).
The final game day began with decisive meetings in Group B. The first line was played by the team of Tatarstan and Iran: the hosts of the tournament won a strong-willed victory (8:3), losing after the first period 1:3. The small finals of the group ended with the victory of Oman, which was stronger than Bahrain in a hard-fought match (2:1).
Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan met in the Group A final. Kazakhstan quickly broke away by four goals, and Kyrgyzstan tried to return to the game only in the third period. The match ended with the victory of Kazakhstan, 7:3. In the small finals of Group A, Lebanon beat Uzbekistan (5:3).
Uzbekistan’s forward Zhasurbek Rustamkhonov became the top scorer of the tournament, scoring 27 (21+6) points. In Group B, Iran’s forward became the top scorer. Amin Korehei, who scored 14 (9+5) points. Among the defenders, the best statistics were demonstrated Danil Safiullin from Tatarstan and Farshad Magadashi from Iran both scored 11 points.
