Kazakhstan national ice hockey team won the IIHF 2026 Asia Championship in Beijing. In the decisive match of the tournament, Talgat Zhailaulov’s team beat Japanese national team (4:3). Before that, Kazakhstan was stronger than China (5:1) and South Korea (4:3).

The forward of Kazakhstan national team Maxim Musorov was recognized as the most valuable player of the tournament. 

It should be noted that the main trophy of the Asia Championship became the second for the national team of Kazakhstan. Last year, the team also won the first ever tournament draw.
