A historic moment for Algerian hockey took place in Canada. The Coupe d’Algerie, the Algerian ice hockey cup, was held for the first time. Two teams took part in its first draw: Corsaires Alger and Fennecs 

The Corsaires Alger won in regular time (4:2) and became the winner of the first ever Coupe d’Algerie

Litim, Cherkaoui, Derder and Belharfi scored for the Corsaires, while Foura and Baymout scored for the Fennecs.
