On September 19, in Kazan, Ak Bars will face Salavat Yulaev in the another KHL regular season match. The game in Tatneft Arena starts at 7 PM (Moscow time).

What is the Green Derby? This is a rivalry between teams from the neighboring Muslim republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, which is called the main hockey derby of Russia in recent years. 

The rivals have met 103 times in KHL championships. Ak Bars has 54 wins and Salavat Yulaev has 49. The goal difference is 264:252 in favor of Ak Bars. In the 2024/25 season, the teams played six games, each of the rivals won three times. 

In the last six matches of the Green Derby, there is a pattern: the team that opens the score first wins.
