The third division of the JWC: where and when?

The 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship in Division III is an event that is important to keep an eye on, as two participating countries of the ADIHIC will play in it.

The tournament in Group A will be held from January 27 to February 2 in Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, and in Group B — from December 10 to December 16, 2024 in Bangkok. This will be the first serious international ice hockey tournament for Thailand.

10 teams will play at the JWC: four from Asia, three from Europe and one each from Oceania, Africa and North America. It should be noted that the Thailand national team will take part in this tournament for the first time.

Group A: Taiwan, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Turkey, Mexico, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the end of the stage, the team that took the first place will receive the right to play in the second division of the 2026 JWC, and the team that takes the last place will move to group B.

Group B: Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, South Africa, Thailand. At the end of the stage, the team that takes the first place moves to group A of the third division of the 2026 JWC.
